Not too long ago, reporter Mark Joyella caught up with me about my cooking and eating adventures for a piece he did for the Brooklyn Heights Blog.
On my little deck in Brooklyn, we had a lovely time chatting about festive cardamom cookies and my stab at eating bull’s penis. (You can also see the video on Vimeo.)
I’d been a little embarrassed about posting it — because you can see exactly how dead my houseplants are in the background of some shots! But Mark did such a nice job, I thought I’d share it with you.
So, if you’ve been wondering what exactly I’ve been up to so far this year, check it out …
This is really cool!
Aww, thanks, Kelsey! Seeing the video reminded me that I should really toss out those dead houseplants …
Nice video – your food pics more than make up for the house plants (which only appear for a nano-second anyway). Good stuff!
Great , with all these new places to eat I wont fit behind my wheel very soon.lol
Steady la! You look great on camera! I want to taste those cookies when you are back in Aug!!!!
Those houseplants are awesome. Reminds me of my balcony before I went with an all-Geranium arrangement. Though some aren’t doing so well. But the video itself is awesome. Glad to see you’re not camera shy like me. I’m more used to the other end of the camera.
Aww…thanks, guys. Nette…I’ll see if I have time to bake some before coming back! Daniel, if you only have “some” geraniums not doing so well, you clearly have much more of a green thumb than I do!
Oh Cheryl! What a wonderful video. And your deck is priceless! If you hadn’t said anything about your plants, I would have probably not noticed. Between your energy, the food photos, and the greenery surrounding your deck, those plants are insignificant. Very glad you started to think visually – you are so good at it!
Thanks, Janice! You’re too sweet.
You know, my Dad said I reminded him of Hillary Clinton in this video. I know he admires her so I’m assuming that’s a good thing …
Just saw this. Really well done, congratulations!
You can use the oven at my place if you dont have time to bake before you are back… I like them fresh!
